ISA/Personal Portfolio migration FAQs
We’re moving your account to our new online portal. This will give you access to new features and improved functionality. For example, you will be able to add funds to your investment with a debit card and you can manage your accounts, including investment choices, online rather than having to telephone us.

As you may know, Standard Life and Aberdeen Asset Managers came together in 2017. Since then we have been operating under a number of different brands such as Standard Life Aberdeen and also Aberdeen Standard Investments.
As you may have read, we have recently rebranded and are now called Aberdeen across our whole business. As part of this rebrand we recently sold the ‘Standard Life’ brand, along with a number of products and services, to the Phoenix Group, however you remain our customer and we want to ensure that we give you access to the very best support that we can.
Your ISA/Personal Portfolio is provided by us (Aberdeen) but the current online service is now owned and managed by the Phoenix Group.
Because of this, we are going to move your ISA/Personal Portfolio to a new online portal. And while we’re doing this, we’re taking the opportunity to improve our services and help you make the most of your savings. Don’t worry – it’s really easy and we will help you along the way.
The new features and functionality that are now available are:
- Investing, or buying, into new and existing funds
- Selling out of funds and into cash, so you can withdraw money from your account or invest in other funds
- Making payments by debit card to add cash to your account or buy funds
- Reducing the minimum single payment you can make from £10 to £1
- Requesting withdrawals online
We’ll be making further enhancements in the future and will keep you updated as these are added.
There aren’t any changes to your Standard Life pension. You can carry on managing your pension as you do now at www.standardlife.co.uk/onlineservicing or via the Standard Life app.
- Does this mean that my pension will always be separate from my ISA from now on?
As part of the sale of Standard Life to the Phoenix Group, your Standard Life Pension will be managed and accessed separately from your ISA. The transfer to the new Portal is designed to support the separation as part of the sales process as we will effectively be two separate companies. There is no plan to combine your pension and ISA in the future.
At the moment there isn’t an app, however the client portal is mobile optimised and works on a phone or a tablet to look and feel just like an app. We will make sure you have really easy instructions on how to set this up and we are confident you will really like it – you get so much more from the new portal than you do from the app today.
We are developing our mobile app strategy so as soon as we have an app available for you we will give you access to it.
No, any regular payments will remain the same and your direct debits will not change.
